Booth Information

At Marketplace Austin, we have three choices for tenants.

  • For the short term, we offer a limited number of tables and day spaces.
  • For more serious businesses, we offer one year leases in a set space with doors and electricity.
  • As space becomes available and the layout changes, we will build spaces to suit with sheetrock walls. These are rented by the square foot with long-term leases. Availability varies and there is a waiting list for premium spaces.

Rent by the Day

  • $25/day as space is available.
  • Includes one table and two chairs at the Day Area.
  • No reservations. First come, first served.

Yearly Leases

  • Central spaces are made up of 10x10 (100 sq. ft.) booths.
  • $400 - $500/mo. depending on availability and options.
  • No additional charges or fees for electricity or security.
  • Standard space has one electrical outlet and wire enclosure.
  • Additional electricity available at cost of installation.
  • First months rent and security deposit rent due at signing.
  • Month-to-month leases available at higher rates.
  • Other space available by square foot for custom layouts.

Just visit the building during office hours and talk with any of our Management Team. We will give you a tour, point out the options, and explain the lease. There is usually a waiting list, especially during big retail season. So We look forward to hearing from you.


Information for New Merchants

Before opening, each tenant will supply the first month’s rent and a security deposit equal to one month’s rent.

Sales Tax Permits
In addition to personal information on each lease, we require each tenant to provide a copy of the certificate from the State of Texas proving that sales tax will be collected and reported to the state. It only takes a few minutes to get this permit. Merchants who do not have this form can apply for one at:

Renters Insurance
The Marketplace has liability insurance for our own equipment and operations. We strongly suggest that each merchant obtain renters and liability insurance for their area from their own sources. Marketplace insurance will not cover merchants for theft, damage, liability, or any other losses incurred at the individual’s places of business. Merchants may use our insurance carrier for a quote.

Equipment and furniture
The Marketplace does not store or sell furniture or display cases for merchant spaces. Each merchant is encouraged to ask other businesses in the Marketplace for supplies, fixtures, shelving, and other furniture.

Custom Spaces
There is space in the front and rear and along the wall of the building available for rent by the square foot. The cost is between $4.00 and $5.00 per sq. ft. depending on location. Tenants are required to construct and maintain their own space, including walls, electricity, ceiling, floor, and furnishing. There is also a one-time construction fee at lease signing. All spaces must be inspected by the City of Austin

Waiting List
We are always changing, so we are accepting names for a waiting list as they become available. Submit your name at the Information Booth and we will notify you about spaces that become open. We give first priority to existing tenants, then new businesses interested in space.

At this time, we cannot rent space outside the building for the sale of food or other merchandise. No Exceptions!
